SHUKOKAI UPDATE 18 October 2017
Welcome back to another top week of Shukokai Karate.
School holidays well and truly over and so back to training time it is.
I was looking through our student attendance records yesterday and was quite surprised at how many students have not shown their faces in quite some time. If this is you; can you please let me know what is going with your training? I will be sending out individual emails but it would be nice to hear from you.
A group of us headed to Brisbane last weekend for the AFTK National Seminar. A great weekend catching up with loved ones, meeting old karate friends, and; making some new ones. A very physical seminar right from the start with Sensei Mike Jordan taking us through some of his favourite applications. After lunch Sensei Lester McCormick lead the group session and again the huffing and puffing was on. The event wrapped up at 4PM and many sore bodies hit the road/airways back home. A full report will be posted soon.
On the weekend I was able to catch up with Sensei’s Julie-Ann and Merindah to confirm a grading date. We have settled on Saturday the 2nd of December 2017. I have been conducting assessments for the last couple of weeks and given the length of time in between some gradings; it looks like we will have to run 3 gradings on the day. I will start to hand out grading notices to allow plenty of time for acceptance of the invite to grade and lots of training to prepare. If you have any questions about our grading processes please speak with me.
SO; I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AT TRAINING. Have a great day.
